Can I cause my link to open the target page in a new window?

It is common to want to open a web page you are linking to in a different window to the window you are viewing the current web page in. 

This is easily achieved in Xara Web Designer from within the Link tab in Web Properties.   Select an object you have applied a link to and click on the Web Properties icon (Shift+Ctrl+w) and select the link tab. You will see a drop down list next to the text open link in. Selecting New Window (_blank) followed by the Apply or OK button will cause the linked page to be retrieved in a new browser window.

You can control the properties of the new window by inserting some JavaScript within the link to web address field.  Information on using the window.open method can be found here
